You are cordially invited to a CorrISA Cape Region Site Visit to:

Surcotec

hosted by

Ian Walsh

Surcotec is the leading Thermal coating / Metal spraying company in the Western Cape and is also the longest established local supplier of sprayed coatings.

Our fully equipped workshops supply the local and international markets with ISO certified repairs in all industries including Oil and Gas, Marine, Petrochemical, Mining, food production, Rail and Construction to name but a few.

Our Thermal coating capabilities include twin wire Arc spray, Plasma spray, High Velocity Oxy Fuel (HVOF), Combustion Powder spray and Plasma Transferred Arc welding whilst our support machining capabilities include Turning, Boring, Milling, Grinding and On-site (in-Situ) lineboring.

For the works visit we propose to demonstrate all of the spraying process’ and a brief overview of the Thermal spray concepts. It should be noted that our HVOF and Plasma spray equipment are the only working units in the Western Cape. I estimate that the formal part of the works visit will take around 40 minutes where after we will offer light refreshments. Our physical address is as below but it should be noted that we are inside the Barloworld (Caterpillar) complex in Kasselsvlei Road. (we are not visible from the road). We have ample space for parking at the factory and request that all visitors wear safety shoes and take note that they may be tested for alcohol on entering the Barloworld security point.
