Corrosion Institute Annual Award

The Corrosion Institute Annual Award replaced the Industrial Award in 2005. It's purpose is to promote the study of the various forms of corrosion and the employment of cost effective corrosion protection/prevention systems aimed at longevity and sustainability of materials. It recognises he achievement of individuals, processes and projects that have made a significant contribution to the study of corrosion science and the economic and sustainable development of corrosion protection/preventative systems.

The Award may be presented in the following categories

  • Commercial - for cost effective systems of corrosion protection/prevention, such as the combination of appropriate systems, e.g. DUPLEXING.
  • Innovation/R&D - for the study and development of new and innovative forms of corrosion protection/prevention, being presented by way of a formal technical paper/presentation.
  • Training - for skills development or the promotion of recognised training courses relating to corrosion protection/prevention.

Across all categories only one award is presented.
