MEMBERSHIP INFO:

Who is the membership of CorrISA?
Current membership includes asset owners, industrialists seeking to preserve equipment and prolong asset life, manufacturers and purveyors of corrosion resistant materials, anti-corrosion contractors, consultants, engineers, scientists and others responsible for combating corrosion. In fact, absolutely anyone with an interest in corrosion can join as an ordinary member; and subsequently with suitable qualifications / experience become a professional member which entitles the use of Member of the Corrosion Institute of Southern Africa (MCorrISA) or Fellow of the Corrosion Institute of Southern Africa (FCorrISA), accordingly, as letters after their name.

What are the benefits of membership?
Members receive regular newsletters ensuring that they are kept updated with activities in the industry. In addition, members of CorrISA receive SA Mechanical Engineer on a monthly basis, where the CorrISA column contains articles covering all aspects of corrosion. Membership of CorrISA also affords discounts on education courses offered by the Institute. Regular Technical Meetings are held in major centres, encouraging the informal gathering of members to share information and network in a non-commercial environment. Several social events, including an Annual Dinner and a Golf Day afford membership a more social environment to network with fellow “anti-corrosion” parties, providing a win-win situation all round. In addition to the above, Company Members receive web linkage via our website and corrosion queries received by the Institute are forwarded to the relevant sector of the industry. Company Members also receive the opportunity to host the Institute’s various training courses at reduced rates for their own personnel.

Who should join CorrISA?
Anyone with an interest in corrosion! So, if you are a contractor or a consultant, an asset owner or an engineer, a new graduate or a veteran in the field, you should ensure that your membership of CorrISA is current.

Join us in the fight against corrosion as we establish and promote sound corrosion management, the advancement of cost effective corrosion control measures, and a sustained effort generally to raise corrosion awareness at all stages of design, fabrication and operation.
